    A fun night out for a great cause!

    Although Pittsburgh Young Professionals (PYP) and Death Row Dog Rescue have different primary missions, they share a common commitment to strengthening the Pittsburgh community through service, engagement, and compassion.

    PYP's mission is to attract, develop, and retain the future leaders of the Greater Pittsburgh region by fostering professional growth, civic involvement, and meaningful community connections.Death Row Dog Rescue improves the lives of vulnerable animals by rescuing dogs from high-risk situations, providing them with medical care, rehabilitation, and opportunities for adoption. Together, these organizations demonstrate that building a stronger community extends beyond supporting people. It also means caring for the animals that enrich our neighborhoods and families.

    By partnering together, PYP provides young professionals with a meaningful opportunity to give back, volunteer, and make a tangible local impact while supporting an organization dedicated to compassion and second chances. The collaboration aligns with PYP's commitment to civic engagement and community service while helping Death Row Dog Rescue expand its reach, raise critical funds, and save more dogs throughout the Pittsburgh region. Together, both organizations inspire community members to invest in making Pittsburgh a more connected, compassionate, and vibrant place to live.

    The biggest earthquake rocking the professional workforce is the arrival of the AI boom. How do we fully understand its impact and how it will shape the workforce moving forward?

    Join us for a night with one of the leading academic minds focused on the AI boom, Dr. Gabriel Moreno, Ph.D., of Robert Morris University (RMU), who will explore the role of AI in the workforce and discuss how AI opportunities can become career and skill-building advantages.

    Join PYP for a Summer Night Out Enjoying America's Favorite Pastime

    Your ticket includes a $5 merchandise or concession credit and a $4 donation to PYP. We know we are a little late, but planning for a good event can take time. Ticket sales end soon, so please register sooner rather than later! 

    PYP board members will meet PYP members at the Crow's Nest Bar (near section 105) to mix and mingle while enjoying happy-hour prices at 5:30 p.m. until the game starts at 6:40 p.m.

    If you cannot make it to the mix-and-mingle, all good! We will see you in section 112, which is ⬇️

    • Covered seating so no worries on sun and rain
    • Near the field AND home base ⚾️
    • Not as high up, so no vertigo ‍ ‍

    Your attendance and support at this event will help PYP to continue to put on great events all year long. Let's watch our Pittsburgh Pirates play ball and cheer on our favorite pierogi during the race, of course!

    Tickets are $50, which includes all fees, a $5 concession or merch credit, and a $4 donation to PYP.

    • Your ticket will have the $5 concession value added to it.
      • Each ticket includes $5 in loaded value attached to the same barcode used for entry.
      • At a concession stand, simply tell the cashier you'd like to use your loaded value.

      • It works similarly to a gift card and will automatically be applied to your purchase.

    Join the Pittsburgh Young Professionals (PYP) for a great corporate engagement opportunity by volunteering before the Light the Night walk festivities begin between 5:30 and 6:00 PM.

    What is the Light the Night walk? 

    Blood Cancer United (formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) brings communities together in a powerful display of unity and hope through its signature event, Light the Night. This inspiring gathering serves as a beacon of support for those affected by blood cancers, shedding light on their journey towards a brighter, cancer-free future.

    What Happens at the Event

    • Opening Ceremony: Gather with the community to support those fighting blood cancer.
    • The Walk: Participants carry illuminated lanterns as they walk together.
    • Lantern Colors:
      • White: Carried by survivors.
      • Red: Carried by supporters and patients.
      • Gold: Carried in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. [1]
