Join PYP as we take the Sunday Funday Series to Mount Lebanon at KingView Meadhouse and Winery!
This event had originally been scheduled back in January, but was canceled because of snow. We're excited to get back on track in February!
KingView Mead seeks to introduce you to your ancestors and reconnect you with nature. The oldest of all alcohols, mead’s history predates medieval knights, Viking exploration, and the Roman empire. It even goes back to before the time of the Egyptian pharaohs. The oldest known recipe for mead is from the text Rig Veda, created 6000 years ago, and many believe it was stumbled upon by early man as they gathered honey, which fermented over time. Scott Neeley founded KingView Mead in 2011 to reconnect with tradition, with nature, and with each other. During the event our members will receive $1 off all drafts. There will also be food specials for all attendees. The Sunday Funday Series looks to showcase Pittsburgh's outstanding, locally owned watering holes. Each month we will visit a location in the Greater Pittsburgh Region where our members will be treated to drink and food specials! There might even be a surprise gift at each event! Make sure you attend all the events in order to collect them all!
For your safety and the safety of all our PYP members and guests, please review our COVID-19 guidelines before this in-person event.
We also ask anyone who feels sick to please stay home. Combating the spread of COVID-19 is a group effort. If you or someone in you household is ill, stay home.
