Get Involved! Meal Ministry at Light of Life

Join Pittsburgh Young Professionals as we prepare and serve meals at Light of Life Rescue Mission. This nonprofit organization offers food, shelter, counseling and education to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty. We will be there all day. Light of Life will provide the food for meal preparation. Free parking is available in the main lot next to the Light of Life building.

Order of Events

• 7 to 9 a.m. We will serve breakfast
• 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. We will prepare meals for lunch
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., We will serve lunch
• 1 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., We will prepare meals for dinner
• 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., We will serve dinner and clean up

PICK YOUR TIME SLOT

All volunteers must sign up for time slots. You may choose one or more slots. Each volunteer will receive the link to the sign up sheet in their confirmation email as well as seen here: Light of Life Time Slots

• Light of Life requires volunteers to sign a release waiver to participate, available here. Please email a completed waiver to Roy Navid at roynavid@gmail.com before noon on April 20.
• Light of Life requires volunteers to wear masks. Additionally, closed-toed non-slip shoes are recommended.
