Join PYP as we kick off a 3 month ‘picnic in the park’ speaker series. Each month we will migrate to a local park where we will be greeted by our monthly speaker (and maybe a catering treat). Join us in the month of June for an interactive session to learn how you can improve your interpersonal skills, communicate your ideas confidently and concisely, build rapport with team members, and improve your capability to influence others to achieve professional success, lead by Jackie Rodgers. During this session, we will examine the traits of successful people, explore principles for successful interpersonal interactions, and apply a formula to create results.

Join PYP on the second stop of our Sunday Funday Series supporting local breweries as we visit East End Brewing in Larimer. East End Brewing started back in 2004 as a one-man show, and one of the first Craft Brewers in Pittsburgh. Since then, they have continued to expand their operations and their offerings each year. In 2019, they introduced the “You Are Here” Neighborhood Beer series, with plans to brew and package a unique beer for each of Pittsburgh’s 90 neighborhoods. 2020 saw the introduction of the free Saturday Home Beer Delivery Program, and in 2021, they launched East End Chewing, a thick-crust, Sicilian-style pizza service for dine-in and take out. Their beer garden offers a fun, casual, family-friendly, community-focused brewery that encourages guests to pay it forward and “BUY A GOOD FRIEND A GOOD BEER.”

With over 60 different selections of lagers, ales, ciders, hard seltzers, and alcohol-free soft drinks produced each year, EEBC casts a wide enough net to have something for everyone… either to-go in cans, bottles, Growlers, and Crowlers, or by the pint and the flight to enjoy in the pub space or on the patio.

During the event our members will receive $1 off all drafts. Check out the draft menu! There will also be food specials for all attendees.

The Sunday Funday Series looks to showcase Pittsburgh's outstanding, locally owned watering holes. Each month we will visit a location in the Greater Pittsburgh Region where our members will be treated to drink and food specials! There might even be a surprise gift at each event! Make sure you attend all the events in order to collect them all!

We have a group for 30 individuals beginning at 10:00 a.m. The first 15 will begin at 10:00 and the second 15 will begin at 10:30. Every guest may plan to spend 2-3 hours tackling the Go Ape adventure! Reservations are due BY FRIDAY, JULY 30TH.

There are NO refunds in the event of a cancellation.

    Important information:

WAIVERS : All guests MUST sign a waiver before their adventure. Please follow the link(s) above to complete your electronic waiver.;https://go.theflybook.com/Manage/SN1HIB#/lite

    KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Make sure to arrive at Go Ape at least 15 mins early to check-in. Consider extra time for traffic and parking. Your adventure starts at the time you've booked.

Height/Weight/Age: The harnesses are one size fits all. To attend you must be 18 years old, at least 4’7”, and less than 285 pounds.

    WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING

Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty. You may want to bring a change of clothing for the ride home.

Closed toe, closed heel, fully enclosed shoes are required. We recommend ankle-supporting boots, but sneakers are fine too. For your safety, do NOT wear sandals, slip-ons, or any shoe where your foot or toes are partially exposed. You must bring your own gloves to wear on the course. These must cover your fingertips.
Dress for the weather! Layers, hats, gloves, and rain gear are recommended depending on the weather forecast.

Gloves are recommended but not required. You can purchase gloves at Go Ape when you arrive.

For your safety… long hair should be tied back, waists and thighs should be covered, and body jewelry should be removed or taped over.
You may take cameras, phones, and any other device on the course as long as they are secured to you and tucked away to prevent them from getting caught or falling to the ground.

We DON'T recommend bringing a bag with you into the trees because they are bulky, but if you must bring a bag, it should fit closely to your body and must not interfere with the harness or related Go Ape gear. A small backpack with tight fitting straps usually works fine. Fanny packs aren't great because they sit right where your harness will be.
Please leave extra bags and belongings locked in your car during your adventure. We can hold onto keys for you at the cabin. Go Ape is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Parking: Is available at the address above and it is free!

    COVID-19: BE PREPARED
Gloves: All guests and staff are REQUIRED to wear full finger gloves. You may bring your own. Latex gloves are not recommended. We encourage you to wear something more durable. We also have gloves available for purchase on site.

Face Coverings: All guests and staff are REQUIRED to wear a face covering for their nose and mouth during check-in, briefing and any time social distancing cannot be maintained. The face covering should not restrict vision. You may bring your own. We also have face coverings available at site.

If Sick, Please Reschedule: If you have been sick in the last two weeks, please stay at home for your health and the safety of others. Our staff would be happy to reschedule your adventure with no re-booking fee. If you are at a higher risk, please follow the advice available at the CDC web site. Our staff will be screened at the beginning of each shift, including taking their temperature prior to allowing them to interact with guests or other staff.

Soap or Hand Sanitizer: Go Ape will have hand sanitizer available throughout the course and at our cabin. Please pack extra soap or hand sanitizer, in case park restrooms are running short.

Social Distancing: We've restricted our session sizes. In addition, you should expect our staff to space guests out during check-in and briefing, to minimize close contact as defined by the CDC. While on the course, guests that are from a different group must maintain at least one crossing (more than 6') from other groups.

Cashless Payments: We've gone cashless so if you plan to purchase gloves, a t-shirt or another memento, please make sure you have a credit card with you.

Processes: For more details on the Go Ape approach, please visit the COVID-19 page on our web site.
