    An Opportunity: Join the Planning Committee for The Children's Home of Pittsburgh Black and Gold Gala in April 2027

    Join The Children's Home of Pittsburgh's 26th Annual Black and Gold Gala Planning Committee to help empower children, individuals, and families to build stronger futures through personalized services and exceptional care.

    Last year, donors' generous support helped The Children's Home of Pittsburgh raise over $300K to support and expand their programs. Together, the volunteers contributed 145 hours of service, bringing the evening to life and delivering an estimated value of $5,200, allowing them to direct 100% of the evening's ticket proceeds straight into our programs.

    The Gala’s Planning Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who will help make the event a success by organizing the silent auction and volunteering at the Gala.  As part of the planning committee, you will be recognized on the event website, on our social media, and in the program.

    You may organize the silent auction, volunteer at the gala in April, secure sponsorships, sell tickets, or help promote the event. If you are interested in joining the planning committee, please email Angela McCoy by October 23rd.

      We are taking over The Dog Penn in the Strip District for our next monthly happy hour, and you definitely won't want to miss this one. Mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 28th at 5:30 PM.

      If you haven't checked out this spot yet, it’s one of the coolest indoor/outdoor spaces in the city. And let’s clear up the biggest question right out of the gate: no, you do not need a dog to come hang out, but they are welcome to join! Whether you’re bringing your four-legged best friend or just showing up for the human networking, everyone is welcome.

      We’re keeping things completely relaxed with no rigid agendas or awkward icebreakers. Just a great opportunity to grab a drink, meet some new faces, and connect with driven young professionals in the city.

      Volunteering Opportunity for the 412 Gives Back Gala 

      Be a part of the magic at this glacial affair by volunteering, dining, and giving back to the 412 community on January 30th.

      This year’s event, The 412 Gives Back Gala—A Glacial Affair, will benefit The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh. All funds raised will be restricted to direct program support, ensuring the money goes directly back into our community.

      The 412 Gives Back organization is seeking approximately 10–15 volunteers to assist with responsibilities from 5:00 PM to 12 AM. Activities include guest check-in, raffle and auction support, guest direction, and other event needs throughout the evening.

      412 Gives Back may also hold a brief virtual training session during the week before the gala to review assignments and answer questions.

      Dinner will be provided for all volunteers.

      The event itself is January 30th, but we are using January 25th as the cutoff date for volunteers to sign up.
