Breathe in….now breathe out slowly. Release all that stress and tension from your day and join PYP at our Spring Yoga event on the JLL Rooftop in Market Square. Take in a stunning view of the city as you relax and let the stress of the day melt away.

The purpose of yoga is to build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body. One of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress. We’re young professionals, so of course we have a lot of stress! The relaxation techniques incorporated in yoga can lessen chronic pain, it can also lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia, as well increase flexibility and muscle strength and tone

Enjoy a 60 minute unity vinyasa yoga session by PYP’s own Mary Hatch. You will link breath with movement and raise your energy level while flowing through postures built around traditional sun salutations. Suitable for beginners and advanced yogis alike, this class will be fun and challenging for all. Let go of your thoughts and get into the moment!

After our yoga session we will be hosting a healthy happy hour provided by Salud. Megan Walzer from Salud will be sharing the story of Salud, their mission, and how to eat healthy.

Mary Hatch  is a yoga instructor with a background in cognitive neuroscience and mediation. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Michael Miracles Yoga at Metta in Pittsburgh. Mary brings light-hearted spiritual teachings into her classes, empowering her students to drop all mental and physical resistance and to find balance between effort and ease. When she’s not teaching yoga or volunteering with PYP, Mary works as a UX Design Research Lead for GE Healthcare. And Mary serves on the PYP Board of Directors as the Research and Analytics Advisor.

Please bring a yoga mat, bottle of water, and towel. We will have a very limited amount of mats at the event for attendees to use.

In the event that there is inclement weather we have space inside the building to perform our yoga event.
