Join PYP as we make welcome baskets for those that are entering Pittsburgh Center for Victims. Center for Victims (CV) is a community based nonprofit organization and the largest, most comprehensive, inclusive provider of services, advocacy, and education for victims of all crime in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Center for Victims’ Emergency Shelter offers housing and support services for those facing domestic violence. Oftentimes, those coming to stay with Center for Victims leave in a hurry with safety as the main goal. Because of this, many come to shelter with very little. Because of this, Center for Victims provides welcome bags to every individual coming to their door. Welcome bags include clothing, toys for children, pillows, and personal care items. The welcome bags will include the basic essentials as we help individuals get back on their feet.
On-site parking is ample and free! When you arrive, please park on the side of the building facing the Steeler practice field. From there, you will enter through the double doors with the Center for Victims’ logo. A Center for Victims staff member will greet you and show you to the elevator to head up to the second floor.
Following all CDC guidelines, masks must be worn for the entirety of the volunteer shift. Socially-distanced workspaces will be provided to ensure a safe environment for volunteers and staff. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

Face covering required
Face covering will be required at all times during the event, unless actively eating or drinking.
Temperature check required
Temperature checks will be required upon arrival, and attendees with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will not be admitted.
Pre-event survey required
Attendees will be required to answer a brief health survey before being admitted to the event. Those who fail to comply with the survey or have evidence of potential exposure will not be admitted.
Please stay home if you are sick
